    • Performed a diagnostic code scan, which revealed the following codes: P0106, O0172, P0506, P1101, P3055, and P0356. Pinpoint testing identified the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor as having data outside of specifications. Tests for ground, power, and 5-volt reference were conducted and found to be present, indicating a failed MAF sensor. The MAF sensor was removed and replaced, and all adaptives were cleared. An idle relearn, fuel trim reset, and idle air compensation reset were performed. The engine codes were then cleared, and a retest was conducted. Code P1101 returned immediately. The Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor was then inspected and found to have oil contamination. The throttle body plate was also found to be dirty. The throttle body was cleaned, the map sensor was cleaned, codes were cleared, and all resets for the repair were performed. A retest was conducted, and the code did not return. The vehicle was test-driven on the expressway to confirm the repairs resolved the issue, and it was found that the repairs were successful.
